Default Excel 2007 vs Excel 2003: How to keep charts stable?

We have some computers on Excel 2007 & some on Excel 2003.

When I make a graph on Excel 2007, and someone touches it in Excel 2003, the
graph gets messed up. In the last instance, the graph contents disappeared
(ie. no lines in the graphy)!

Can anyone recommend on how to keep the graphs stable across Excel 2007 &
Excel 2003. Unfortunatelly, I cannot upgrade everyone.

Note: I have tried making graphs on in Excel 2003 first. This helps, but
does not seem to solve it.

Thanks!
