Default Drop down menus

Good morning, I am operating excel 2000 and Im trying to creat drop down
menu's for a spreadsheet with employee names and such..Im not sure how to get
started

Default Drop down menus

Look at data validation--via the Data menu--Validation. Select the "list"
option and define your list. The list should be a range of the relevant
names.

Thanks Dave, I've done it before but just wasn't sure I was doing the right
procedure...have a great weekend

And if you want to store the list of names on a different worksheet, you
can name the range, and use that name in the data validation dialog box.
