xy scatter graph with a scrolling time element
I have several xy scatter graphs where one indicator is based on price,
another based on volume and they are charted on the x and y axes. The tendency is for the resulting graphed line, when 10 or so data points are graphed, to "circle" counterclockwise because the volume moves slightly ahead of the price data. My question is whether there could be a way to show that same action but to have the chart scrolling along as the trading day goes on, say using time to move it along horizontally while maintaining the circular motion provided by the two inputs. My data feed is real-time. I suppose the resulting graph I'm trying to articulate might look like a long series of lowercase letter e's strung together moving across the screen from left to right. Can anyone suggest a possible solution? My thanks in advance. BR |

Brad -
Perhaps you can adapt this example to your project: http://pubs.logicalexpressions.com/P...cle.asp?ID=246 or Stephen Bullen's: http://oaltd.co.uk/DLCount/DLCount.a...e=FunChrt7.zip - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Peltier Technical Services Tutorials and Custom Solutions http://PeltierTech.com/ _______ Brad wrote: I have several xy scatter graphs where one indicator is based on price, another based on volume and they are charted on the x and y axes. Jon, thanks, I had not yet seen your dynamic charting by date. Let me see
what I can do! Thanks, Brad "Jon Peltier" wrote in message ...
