Default insert an image based on a cell value

i am trying to create a model of genetics within a spreadsheet where the
male and female genetic contribution to their offspring is displayed in a
cell either as A or a and using " &" to conbine in the offspring cell ,
chromosmes are displayed as AA,Aa or aa is it possible ....ifor this
resultant cell content to then control an image to be viewed to show the
shape of the offspring with that resultant genetic code.....eg IF cell
content =AA 2 antennae / Aa 1 antenna / and aa 0 antenna
i have a very basic drawing created but i would like to import better ,
specific image files i have created to show the resultant body parts etc from
the genetic code .
my aim is tp use a smartboard in a classroom setting and the pupils would
randomly choose the male / female contribution which would show the effect on
the offspring and the resultant offspring can be compared.....primarily
typing in the male / female contributions but what i would like would be for
them to touch the smartboard to select the male /female chromosomes to make
this selection ..
maybe a tad overambitious as my spreadsheet knowledge is limited and any
other program knowledge is non existant so i would need solution to be idiot
proof

many thanks

Take a look at my file he

http://www.contextures.on.ca/excelfiles.html#DataVal

Look for

DV0049 - ClipArt Selection -- Select a clipart item from a data validation dropdown list, and that
picture appears in the adjacent cell. Uses Worksheet_Calculate event code. Sample file from Bernie
Deitrick. ClipArtEvent.zip 30kb 03-Jun-07
