Save Worksheet as new workbook with specifics
Hi All,
I want to give a user the opportunity to save a worksheet, which will be hidden from the user, as a new workbook. In essence I'll create a button which states "click here to create a Remediation Plan?" When clicked, I want them to be prompted with a Save As dialog box with a filename sourced from: Sheet "Remediation Plan" Cell C2 and F2. with VMRP at the beginning: It will look like ABCD_Company Name_Date. (ABCD being a constant). It is possible the company name (e.g. ABC Limited - sourced from C2) will have spaces and I'd like to replace them with underscores so the suggested filename becomes "ABCD_ABC_Limited_ddmmyy". I'm don't want to try identify a pathname, this is something the user can do themselves (as indeed they could change the filename if it is not in keeping with any naming protocol they may have. As a second challenge, I also want to create a macro which will send the original workbook by e-mail to a pre-defined e-mail address and in doing so will use the filename format outlined above. Any helpful hints or useful suggestions. In context, I am familiar with the concept of macros but wouldn't have a clue how to write one from scratch so any responses in detail would be highly appreciated. Please feel free if you have any questions. Many thanks guys, it's your efforts thus far that have made me look good :-) Tel |
