2007 Excel sucks - cant freeze multiple rows & columns anymore
Help (of course unless you know F1 anymore you cant get to help via menu
either) says you can, but "menu" no longer allows option of freezing more that the first row or first column in a worksheet - the more it gets "improved" the worse things get. |

Select where you want the panes to be frozen first then freeze them.
For example, to freeze columns A&B and rows 1&2: Select cell C3 ViewFreeze PanesFreeze Panes -- Biff Microsoft Excel MVP "2007 Excels sucks99999" <2007 Excels wrote in message ... Try clicking the Blue circle with a question mark in it!!!!
And then follow the Help instructions (reposted below). Freeze panes to lock specific rows or columns On the worksheet, do one of the following: To lock rows, select the row below the row or rows that you want to keep visible when you scroll. To lock columns, select the column to the right of the column or columns that you want to keep visible when you scroll. To lock both rows and columns, click the cell below and to the right of the rows and columns that you want to keep visible when you scroll. On the View tab, in the Window group, click the arrow below Freeze Panes. Do one of the following: To lock one row only, click Freeze Top Row. To lock one column only, click Freeze First Column. To lock more than one row or column, or to lock both rows and columns at the same time, click Freeze Panes. 2007 Excels sucks99999 wrote: Help (of course unless you know F1 anymore you cant get to help via menu either) says you can, but "menu" no longer allows option of freezing more that the first row or first column in a worksheet - the more it gets "improved" the worse things get. |

Exactly ****ing right - MS 'improves' things to the point they are no longer intuitive or usable... |
