Default excel dilema

i type 041 in excel it becomes 41 i need to keep the 0. help?

Further to Mike's sugestion

You could set a custom Format to include the leading 0
Select Cells - Format/Cells/Custom
0##
Should work
Depending on how large the number you are entering, above eg will work up to
100
0### will work up to 1000 etc
