Default Formulas not auto updating

I can't get any of my formulas to auto update in Excel 2007. What am I doing
wrong? The formulas are entered in properly but they don't auto update.
Also, I should be able to copy and paste formulas but that doesn't work
either. Please help!!!!

Go to Tools-Options-Calculation, make sure automatic calculation is enabled.
If it is, you might have cells that are formatted as 'text' that you wrote
formulas into. You will need to change the format, then re-input the formula.

Is calculation mode set to automatic?

"doesn't work" is not very descriptive.

What happens you try to copy and paste formulas?

Nothing? Error message?

Is "enable fill handle and cell drag and drop" checkmarked?

Hey there! Thank you both so much. That's what was wrong. The calculations
options were set to manual. Any ideas what would have switched it from
Automatic to Manual? I didn't change anything on the spreadsheet. Thanks
again!

Excel uses the calculation mode of the first workbook opened.

All subsequent opened workbooks will have that mode.............no matter
which mode they were saved in.

Are you loading Personal.xlsb with Excel?

Make sure the settings are automatic on that workbook.
