Default insert row / insert column command buttons

My insert row / insert column command buttons in my tool bar are light in
shade and don't seem to be available. Any reasons why? As a side note, my
delete row/delete column command buttons are working fine. Also, does anyone
know the command keys for insert / delete row/column?

Default insert row / insert column command buttons

While I can't be sure since the names and portals are different, this
post is remarkably similar to the post that has received a couple of
answers in the

microsoft.public.mac.office.excel

newsgroup. You might want to check there...
