Default The currency symbol on all my spreadsheets has changed from £ to .

I have installed a new version of Excel on my computer. Now all spreadsheets
are using the $ instead of £ symbol - why has this happened, and how do I
change back? I have checked that English rather than US English is set up as
default on my op.system.

By "English" I assume you mean English(United Kingdom).

Works for me.

Otherwise.........Check out FormatStyleCurrency and modify to £ if required.
