Default Linked Sheets not updating automatically

I have a workbook that is connected to other whorksheets.
But each time I open the worksheet, it would show that it
could not find the whorksheet for update...so I have to
manually link the sheets again...

I do not mind doing this, but other users do not have the
patience and I am looking for a way to stop this and make
the link stick!

Thanks.

Just a guess.

Your "sending" worksheets are in workbooks that are stored on a network drive.

Try using the UNC name instead of the mapped drive.

="\\server\share\folder\....
instead of
="M:\folder\...

Maybe it's because others link to that drive using a different letter????
