Default Hyperlinks in PowerPoint

I found out that the links did not work in Powerpoint because I had a '#'
symbol in the title of my Excel file. Once the symbols were removed they
worked fine. Thanks for trying.

How do you know they are links? Have they been convert?
Try making a new slide with a link to one of the Excel workbooks to see if
this works.

best wishes

I have a PowerPoint presentation with hyperlinks to Excel workbooks and
Word
documents. The Word documents work fine, but the Excel workbooks do not
open. I have even tried saving the Excel workbook in Word and linking
that,
but the file still won't open. Any ideas what to do? I tried the
PowerPoint
community with no success.
