Default Restore Excel Colors

I changed the settings on my desktop, and since then, Excel colors no longer
work. Can someone tell me where to go to restore excel colors?

I want to fill colors in a cell/cells, but the colors do not appear up on
the excel worksheet. However, the print preview shows that the excel has
recognized the color.

Also, when I try to change font colors, say black to read, yellow, etc., the
changed color does not show up in merged cells.

I would appreciate your generous help.

If this is a problem with all Excel files with coloured cells, the Windows OS
high contrast setting may be turned on. There is information in the
following MSKB article:

OFF: Changes to Fill Color and Fill Pattern Are Not Displayed

http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-ca;320531

You most likely checked that option during your "changed the settings" foray.
