Did you keep or replace the previous version of Office when installing 2003? What was the previous version? If you try to create a new query from Excel 2003 specifying to edit the query in MSQuery at the end of the wizard, does MSQuery launch OK? I run multiple copies of Office on my machine and about the only problem I regularly encounter is with MSQuery where MSQuery seems not to respond sometimes. Have you tried running Help / Detect and Repair from Excel 2003? Bill Manville MVP - Microsoft Excel, Oxford, England No email replies please - respond to newsgroup I was running Office 2000. 2000 was uninstalled prior to the new installation. This problem especially occurs when I go through the pivot table wizard, get data option, in trying to modify the underlying query. -- jcoburn |
