I find that I can no longer edit external data sources used in some of my Excel workbooks. It opens the msquery program, but I am unable to see the query window. Did microsoft take this functionality away? If not, how do I edit now? Jim -- jcoburn |

Sounds like some sort of installation problem.
Did you keep or replace the previous version of Office when installing 2003? What was the previous version? If you try to create a new query from Excel 2003 specifying to edit the query in MSQuery at the end of the wizard, does MSQuery launch OK? I run multiple copies of Office on my machine and about the only problem I regularly encounter is with MSQuery where MSQuery seems not to respond sometimes. Have you tried running Help / Detect and Repair from Excel 2003? Bill Manville MVP - Microsoft Excel, Oxford, England No email replies please - respond to newsgroup |
