How do I delete a chart that will not allow me to click on it?

If the sheet has been protected, you need to unprotect it first (Tools menu).

It's not protected.

Is it an embedded chart object?
Where did you get it from?

Select the chart, press ALT+F11 to open the VB Editor. Press CTRL+G to open the
Immediate Window. Enter this line and press Enter:

?activechart.ProtectSelection

it will return False if it isn't protected.

Enter this line and press Enter:

?activesheet.protectcontents

it will return False if it isn't protected.

If this doesn't clarify things, post back.
