in excel why do numbers entered get divided by 100?
Excel was working fine last time I used it, but now if I type in for instance
5000, it puts 50 in the cell and on the formula bar, and calculates etc. as 50. I have tried changing formatting, but this doesn't make any differnce |

In Excel, click on Tools | Options | Edit | uncheck the "Fixed decimal
places" box | OK. "roger bemused" wrote: Excel was working fine last time I used it, but now if I type in for instance 5000, it puts 50 in the cell and on the formula bar, and calculates etc. as 50. I have tried changing formatting, but this doesn't make any differnce |
